Most Anticipated Video Games of 2014

We’ve written the book on the past year, and now the “best of 2013” lists become “most anticipated of 2014” directories. Headset Buddy’s focus (or at least one of them) is on the coming wave of titles in the video game industry. 2014 has a lot of successes to build off from the previous year, so it’s very exciting to look down the calendar at what is coming to the home entertainment systems of the world.

Headset Buddy Video Games 2014First off, new installments in a whole range of already-existing franchises will bow over the coming 12 months. Bayonetta, Wolfenstein, Metal Gear, Ninja Gaiden, Dark Souls, Donkey Kong, Dragon Age, The Elder Scrolls, EverQuest, Final Fantasy, Infamous, Kinect Sports, Persona, Professor Layton, The Sims, Strider Hiryu, Super Smash Bros., Tales, Thief, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six, The Witcher, Mario Golf, Mario Kart and Mario Party are all beloved names. Video gamers around the world will get a brand new edition of each in 2014.

There are also several major, annual video game events taking place. The Game Developer’s Conference of 2014 will take place from March 17 to March 21 in San Francisco, California. It will be followed by Rezzed 2014 (March 28-30) at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) Birmingham. The month of June will bring the big conference/festival: E3. The 10th through the 12th of 2014’s sixth month will show the swath of gamers, developers, costumed characters and more at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The final event of the year happens at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from October 31 (Halloween!) to November 2. The Penny Arcade eXpo (PAX) Australia 2014 will close out the conference calendar for the industry.
